We've recently completed a new extension to the Joss Group Offices, to which we originally designed in 2006.
Both the original offices, and new extension have been designed to elevate above the flood plain and under croft parking. The functional break-up allows the various parts of the building to be articulated externally while the angled sides are clad in a white composite aluminium skin articulated against select glazing and a silver contoured metal cladding to contrast with relative flatness of the site.
Orthogonal fenestration elements including sun screens and signage within the angles provides a distinction of line and form to occupants of vehicles travelling at high speeds on the adjacent freeway.
Sustainability is a key driver in the design. The new offices, including meeting rooms & collaborative staff areas are designed around promoting a direct relationship with the natural parklands at the rear of the site, with these elements filtering into the new office spaces.
