The new Kurmboon Child & Family Centre is an exciting new piece of cultural infrastructure providing 132 new kindergarten spaces, maternal child & health services, community spaces & staff areas.

Through its formal & material expression, the project has been thoughtfully designed with children in mind; playful geometry, textures & colours delineate areas that support a sensory transition & encourage moments of discovery.

Co-located at Orchard Park Primary School, the building & play spaces have been designed with a direct link to the learning neighbourhood of the adjacent school site.

Central to the project is the provision of environmental sustainable design that has been seamlessly interwoven into all facets of the building to reflect the client’s high ESD standards for new community projects within the municipality.
